hero sandwich - a large sandwich made of a long crusty roll split lengthwise and filled with meats and cheese.
I may have been a little hasty in naming my sweet husband a "hero". According to the definition it is made of a long crusty roll. He is anything but crusty! In fact he is quite a softy...maybe more like a potato roll!

This weekend we had the opportunity to attend our niece's wedding. It was really beautiful. At the breakfast all four parents took a few minutes to speak to the couple. It was very touching and there were a lot of moist eyes in the crowd. My sweet hero turned to me and said, "Okay, it's official...our kids can't get married. If they do, you can't ask me to speak, sing, or anything else! Just stick me in a corner with a box of kleenex." I laughed, but I was so touched at how much he loves and adores our kids.

  1. Yeah!! I found you!! This blog looks great! I love the pic! This is just so awesome!!

For the record, my sandwich would be a lettuce wrap (gluten free 'sandwich') with a bunch of veggies, swiss cheese and havarti dill...I'm getting really hungry...but that's not unusual for me lately.
